The south-eastern entrance to Sinharaja, near Deniyaya in Matara district. Its waterfall trail runs roughly 5 km past Pathan Oya Ella and Kekuna Ella, with a longer loop to Malmora Ella. The path is narrow, wet and slippery in places. The southern side is strong for endemic birds, and lodges nearby run guided night walks.

Tips

Wear shoes with real grip for the wet rocks on the waterfall trail. Only swim where your guide says it is safe.
