museum · Galle
Also called the National Maritime Archaeology Museum, it fills a long Dutch warehouse built into the ramparts by the Old Gate on Queen's Street. The 2004 tsunami flooded it and destroyed most of the collection. It reopened in 2010 with shipwreck finds from Galle Harbour, ship models, old maps and cannons.
