A white stupa on Rumassala hill, about 4 km east of Galle across the harbour, built in 2005 by Japanese Buddhist monks of the Nipponzan Myohoji order. It is quiet, with wide views back towards Galle Fort.

Free to visit. Cover shoulders and knees and take your shoes off. A steep path leads down to Jungle Beach.
