Cool-climate botanical garden on the Nuwara Eliya to Badulla road, below Hakgala Rock at about 1,700 m. It started in 1861 as an experimental cinchona plantation, trialled tea, and became a garden in 1884. The rose garden, fern collection and tree ferns are the highlights.
