The Dutch walls that run almost all the way round Galle Fort, broken up by 14 bastions. Sun, Moon and Star face the land and the cricket ground, while Point Utrecht, Flag Rock and Triton face the Indian Ocean. A full loop takes about an hour at an easy pace.

Tips

Start at the Sun Bastion near the Main Gate around 4:30pm and walk clockwise so you reach Flag Rock as the light turns gold. The rock divers at Flag Rock expect a tip if you film them.
