Coconut Tree Hill is a red laterite headland at the eastern end of Mirissa Bay, topped with palms leaning over the ocean and one of Sri Lanka's most photographed spots. It is private land. Several palms have died back in recent years and a coffee stand now sits on top, so it is a good short walk rather than a reason to visit Mirissa on its own.
